Sin City Inspired Commision Piece

This work consists of 3 1mx1m acrylic on canvas works. The breif was to have 3 canvases with gangsta themed 'Smokin' Hot Chicks' inspired by the look of Sin City. The tan/brown is actually shiney gold paint. The camera doesn't do it justice.

Well, world..here I am.

After a couple of half hearted attempts at blogging with the intent of enriching some of my art classes, here is my first shot at creating a blogg dedicated soley to me and my art.

A bit about me.

I am a 30 year old high school art teacher who loves his job. I am married with a beautiful little bub and am still undecided on what or where i want to direct my artistic abilities (other than by manipulating the putty minds of our youth). I enjoy heaps of different styles of art and play with heaps of mediums but i mostly like drawing, illustration and paint. The human form and protraiture really float my boat. I also love doing caricatures and have been doing them for my students and unsuspecting colleagues for about 7 years now.

Over the past few days I have been doing some caricatures of NBA players (basketball is one of my main passions).

So i hope you enjoy some of my stuff and please give my feedback on any of my work.
